Therma Village, Samothraki, Greece

The retreat will take place in the surroundings of the village “Therma” in Samothraki.

 

A beautiful little village where you have everything at walking distance : Waterfalls, beach, thermal baths etc.

In Samothraki you will find:

  • Free open air natural thermal baths .

  • Beautiful rocky beaches.

Extra info:

  • Nudism is practiced a lot in the waterfalls/beaches so feel free not to bring your swimsuit! If you are not into nudism be prepared to co-exist with nudists.

 

  • You will find taverns with delicious local food at really affordable prices everywhere around the island.

 

  • The inhabitants and visitors of Samothraki are very welcoming and open to meet and hang out, with the main square of the village turning into a kind of “open air bar” in the night with regular music jams taking place.

How to get to Samothraki

1)Ferry from Alexandroupoli

There is a ferry that takes you from Alexandroupoli to Samothraki and back once a day

(during high season can be twice a day) .

It costs 17 euro each trip and it takes 1 h & 50 min.

2) Ferry from Limnos

2-3 times a week , costs 11 euros and takes 2 h & 50 min.

How to get to Therma

There is a bus that will take you from the port of Kamariotissa to Therma and back. The distance is about half an hour

A lot of getting around the island is done by hitchhiking, so don’t hesitate to hitchhike or offer someone a ride.

How to get to Alexandroupoli:

1) By bus from Thessaloniki.

One way ticket 29 €, return 45 €.

2) By flight from Athens.

Flights from Athens to Alexandroupoli are operated by the following companies: Sky Express / Aegean / Olympic. They cost around 60-100 €.

3) By car around 3 hours drive from Thessaloniki.
